"Foschi is today’s vocalist, blazing the trail for a new style of jazz vocals, not adhering to traditional sounds or rhythms, but appealing to a new generation of listeners, while still honoring jazz as a tradition. She is truly original and far from the norm as a composer and as a vocalist. Worth the listen, and highly recommended."

"A Window Within"
Foschi’s latest endeavor, "A Window Within", emerges as a deeply personal narrative set against the backdrop of global upheaval and personal loss. This album, a testament to Foschi’s resilience and creativity, was sparked by a challenge from drummer and co-producer, Mauricio Zottarelli, to expand her repertoire of original compositions. Amid the reflective solitude of the Covid pandemic and the poignant loss of her grandmothers, Foschi embarked on a cathartic creative process that reaffirmed her identity as a composer and musician. Recorded at Trading 8s in Paramus, NJ, and mixed and mastered by Dave Darlington at Bass Hit Studios, NYC, "A Window Within" is a vibrant testament to Foschi’s artistry and her journey through life’s multifaceted challenges. The album stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, inviting listeners to share in Foschi’s profound musical and emotional landscapes. For those who seek not just music but a reflection of the soul’s journey through adversity and joy, this album offers a harmonious blend of jazz that transcends borders and time, inviting listeners to a world where every note speaks of growth, introspection, and the unbreakable spirit of humanity. The album features Matt King (piano), Vinicius Gomes (guitar), Marco Panascìa (bass), and Mauricio Zottarelli (drums).
"Fleeting Windows"
"Fleeting Windows" is vocalist Olivia Foschi’s sophomore album released in 2018 and produced by Ulyesses Owens, Jr.. “Each song represents a different aspect of this phase in my life as a woman and mother; the good and the bad, the sleepless nights and the banter, the giggles and the fights, the power and strength we need to have as parents juxtaposed to the feeling of utter exhaustion and debilitation.”
Fleeting Windows features a notable line-up including multi-Grammy Award-winning pianist, accordionist, arranger, Gil Goldstein, drummer and producer, Ulysses Owens, Jr.; Alex Sipiagin on trumpet /flugelhorn; Yotam Silberstein (guitar); Billy Test (piano/Rhodes); Daniel Dickinson (bass clarinet/flute/tenor sax/alto sax); Joseph Doubleday (vibraphone); and Marco Panascìa (bass).
"Perennial Dreamer"
"San Francisco native and Rome-educated Olivia Foschi is a sophisticated, urbane singer whose debut album Perennial Dreamer is a testament to her mature and worldly outlook. Surrounded by an energetic group of individualistic and trailblazing instrumentalists, Foschi presents a heady mix of original compositions, Italian ballads and jazz standards. Thanks primarily to her rich, smoky voice and sublime, expressive phrasing, this variety remains engaging without sacrificing thematic unity. ... Perennial Dreamer makes clear that Foschi, far from just another female singer, is an artist with an elegant style and distinct musical vision. This delightful record whets the appetite for what is yet to come from this unique artist." (By Hrayr Attarian, All About Jazz, July 15, 2013)
